Tasting Notes
This pale golden 2020 Sauvignon Blanc presents with bright citrus and herbal notes on the nose. Upon tasting, you will find grapefruit, sweet grass, and hints of fig with a slight toasty character from the oak. On the palate the wine begins with bright acidity, building to a medium weight framed by citrus notes. The wine finishes dry and clean, with crisp acids and a subtle toasty oak. Pair this flexible wine with a creamy goat cheese and bitter greens, a tangy pesto risotto, or a halibut tostada with yogurt lime sauce.
BASS: I get that it’s perfect with a halibut tostada… DIXIE: Yes? BASS: But say you forgot to go shopping…will it pair nicely with, say, leftover pizza? DIXIE: Of course. BASS: Mac and cheese? DIXIE: Perfectly. BASS: Beef Jerky and Milk Duds? DIXIE: Are you still talking?
